Sophia Washed Cotton Lawn in Cerulean Blue

In that nearly unattainable shade of pure sky blue, this Cerulean Blue Washed Cotton Lawn by Robert Kaufman is a magical addition to any project. With a light, flexible, fluttering drape, it's perfect for creating billowing blouses, floaty sundresses, gathered skirts and accessories like statement collars, warm-weather scarves and headbands. Quite translucent, consider adding a lining for modesty and additional structure where desired. This listing is sold per half yard. Select qty: 1 for 1/2 yard, qty: 2 for 1 yard, qty: 3 for 1 1/2 yards, etc. Multiple yards of fabric will be cut in one continuous length. Cotton lawn is a lightweight, silky substate similar to a voile or batiste. It has a higher thread count and smaller yarns, resulting in a silky smooth, crisp yet delicate fabric. That combination adds strength and creates a silky feel that lends itself to a variety of garment sewing and quilting applications. I generally recommend using a small needle, maybe a 70/10 or the smallest Universal needle you can find and 60-weight thread. (Remember, that with thread, a smaller weight number indicates a heavier thread. This means that 60-weight is going to be a bit lighter than a more standard, all-purpose thread).
