As a sewing educator, I am frequently asked what size needle is best. My answer is always the same, the smallest one that you can see to thread!
These gold-eye needles are my favorite though. I use them for all sorts of hand sewing tasks. From simple mending to embroidery, there is a needle that will fit the project (and the thread!). They are the perfect sewing kit staple. Hands down, these are my favorite hand sewing needles. They glide through fabric easily, have a very sharp point and difficult to break. Embroidery or crewel needles have extra large eyes for strands of cotton or ribbon embroidery thread. Mainly used for either cotton or ribbon embroidery- but practical for so many uses!
