Learn to Sew:: Tote Bags
In this class you will learn to create a tote bag that blends style and function. If you are looking to jumpstart your sewing skills, this is a great class and project. Bags are my favorite ways to teach beginner garment construction, as you have a chance to try all sorts of techniques without having to worry about fit.
SKILLS YOU WILL LEARN:
Refresher on how to use a sewing machine with emphasis on sewing garments.
How to prep, cut, and mark fabric.
How to sew patch pockets.
How to finish seams and the insides of an unlined bag.
Tips and tricks to make sewing clothing and accessories more approachable and fun.
Skills expected: Basic sewing machine skills.
Materials provided: Fabric, pattern, use of a sewing machine and studio equipment.
*You are welcome to bring your own machine if you would like to become more familiar with it.
Minimum and max number of people for class: Min 3 / Max 6
There will be no refunds for no-shows or cancellations within 14 days of workshop. All refunds will incur a 5% cancellation fee
