Homeschool Sewing Class, 10:30-Noon, Session 4: March 8- April 19
Little Stitch Studio is a fashion program that teaches kids and teens sewing and fashion design throughout the school year and summer. Through hands-on learning, children are introduced to the world of fashion.
Classes combine the practical skill of sewing with pattern making, draping, textile science, illustration and fashion history to enable young designers to discover the joy and excitement of creating something with their own two hands.

Each student works on their project at their own pace. With a student/teacher ratio is 5:1, there is lots of guidance. The studio has six sewing stations for a class of five students.
Projects progress in difficulty to build your child's sewing skills and change each season so that students can continue to sew and learn. I focus on trendy pieces that can be worn such as handbags, tops, skirts, pants and dresses.*

While I do my best to ensure the kids projects are completed in a 6-week timeframe, sometimes that is not possible. If a student will not be continuing to the next session, I will do my best to help them complete their current project. However, it is ultimately up to the student how they choose to spend their class time.
I supply the materials and supplies for most projects. There are occasions when a student would like fabric that I do not carry. In that case, they are welcome to shop for a fabric of their choosing and bring to class.

COVID-19 SAFETY INFORMATION
Since Covid numbers are high across Virginia, I am once again requiring face masks to be worn inside the studio. Out of an abundance of caution, I try to keep the door open as much as possible and have an air purifier in the main room of the shop, as well as two ceiling fans running. The studio, bathroom and shared supplies are cleaned daily.

Cancellation, Refund, Make-up, and Exchange Policies
I understand that life happens! The studio policies are in place to help students and families understand their responsibilities regarding cancellations, lateness, illness and other ‘life happens’ moments. Please read carefully before registering. I look forward to each lesson and spend many hours each week in preparation. | Skill Details: | Students in the Teen Level sewing course work at their own pace and select their individual projects. This allows for continuing students to sew and develop their skills while new students learn the art of sewing and design. Depending on your teen's skill level they may also cover pattern drafting and/or draping throughout their lessons. |
| Materials Included: | Fabric, notions and supplies that I have in stock are included in the course fee. However, if a student would like make a project out of a fabric that I don?t have, they are always welcome to bring in their own supplies. |
